Order

Upon logging into your account, you will have the option to place an order by uploading a PDF generated by AsukaBook Maker or high resolution JPEG files. When placing your order, you may apply discount codes, choose a shipping method, and upgrade the printing service.


You can now upload your JPEG files of designed book spreads to your online account. JPEG files must meet the exact specifications of our design templates.

Log In to your account and click the 'Upload JPEG File(s)' Button


INSTRUCTIONS

  • Open any internet browser
  • Login to your asukabook account.
  • Click 'UPLOAD JPEG Book' Button on the right hand side.
  • Click on one of the five spots to browse for and select your jpegs files.

  • Navigate to the folder on your computer that contains all of the final JPEG files. Select all of the JPEG product design files and
    drag & drop them onto the upload graphic.

  • Please be patient while the system analyzes and uploads the files. An issue will only arise if the files do not meet the specifications of our blank Photoshop templates relative to the product including inaccuracy of the number of files, file names, dimensions, DPI, etc.

  • Complete your product details and save.

  • From the slot page, you may select another slot (up to five) or you may click 'Upload' when you are ready.

  • If you are ready, click 'Yes' to proceed to the order page.

  • Once your files are uploaded, you will have the option to place your book order immediately or return to your account homepage and place your order later.

    - If you would like your clients to proof their book via our free online proofing system or you are simply just not quite ready to place your order, click 'No.' In this case, when you are ready to order, check the box to the left of the book on your account homepage to select it and click 'Place Order.' You may select up to three to order at one time.

  • Double-check your order details and shipping address, apply any applicable discounts, allow/disallow marketing use, select Rush service if desired, shipping method, add drop shipping if desired, select invoice option, enter payment information, and submit your order.
  • Enter your payment information. (Please do not enter spaces when entering your credit card number.)
  • Click "Charge!"
  • You will recieve an order complete confirmation email.

Steps to Place Your Order Online

  • Log into your AsukaBook account by using your User ID or email address and password.
  • Click on "Place AsukaBook Order".
  • Drag & drop up to five PDF files onto the related graphic. There is no maximum number of copies allowed per PDF.
  • Check the box that states your file is ready for print and that you take responsibility for your layout, content and colour. If you have any questions or want to double check your layouts, click HERE to review our design tips.
  • Click "Continue" to proceed.

Once the Page Reroutes...

  • Enter your payment information. (Please do not enter spaces when entering your credit card number.)
  • Click Charge". Your payment will process and you will be redirected to a payment thank you page then to an uploading screen. You will then see a status bar and uploading time. This may take 10-20 seconds.

Be certain to turn your computer's SLEEP MODE feature off. This may ensure a continuous and successful upload of your files.

Once your upload has completed, you will see a "Thank You" page, indicating your upload was successful and you will also receive an email confirmation. If this page is not displayed and you did not receive an upload complete confirmation e-mail, your upload may have been interrupted and was unsuccessful. In this case, the upload is incomplete, and you will need to refresh the window or click "Resume Upload" to the right of your order on your AsukaBook account homepage. A Few Very Important Things to Keep in Mind

  • Promotional Codes
    When you register with AsukaBook, you are given discounts to use every year on studio samples. This is a great way to keep current books and designs in your studio with a lower cost to you. You will receive a one-time 50% discount that is good on one studio sample. Every year you receive 3 discounts each good for 25% off of 1 studio sample.

  • Production RUSH
    We offer a way to rush your order through our production facility for an extra $56.00 per order fee. This guarantees that your order is shipped out to you, from our office, within 10 business days of the order being sent into production. Shipping time to you will be added to that 10 business days.

Steps to Place Your Order Via Mail

  • Burn your PDF(s) created by File Checker to a CD or DVD.
  • Complete the Order by Mail and Credit Card Authorization form. Click HERE to download both forms.
  • Write the following onto your CD or DVD:
    Studio Name
    Activation Code/User ID
  • Send your package to:

Turn Around Time
Once your order is uploaded into our system, it is processed within 2 business days. A standard order will be shipped from our office within 3-4 weeks of the order being approved and sent to production. Shipping time to you will be in addition to the 3-4 weeks.

A RUSH order ($56 fee) will be shipped from our office within 2-3 weeks from the order being approved and sent to production. Shipping time to you will be in addition to this time.

Shipping
All packages are shipped via Star Track, Fastway or Australia Post depending on your location. Your shipping fee is based on weight, distance, and how quickly you need the package delivered.

Handling
A $10.00 handling fee is applied to every order. This fee covers a white glove review of every book as well as packaging materials for each shipment.

How long does it take for an AsukaBook order?
The average turnaround for processing and production is roughly two to three weeks from the order approval date. You may add a Rush service to your order to expedite to ten business days or less. Shipping time is additional and varies based on the selected shipping method from Sydney, NSW. It is possible for the total turnaround time to be shorter or longer depending on the above factors, holidays, deadlines, and delays. Learn more.

How do I place a JPEG order?
Upload your designed, high resolution JPEG files to your online account. Click on the 'UPLOAD JPEGS' tab above for more details.

How do I place a PDF order?
Upload your print ready PDF file generated by AsukaBook Maker to your online account. Click on the 'UPLOAD PDFS' tab above for more details.

How do I upload an order for the Gallery Box?
Upload your 12 5x7 JPEG files of both vertical and horizontal orientation. Alternatively, you can upload a PDF generated by AsukaBook Maker.

How long does it take to upload a file through the internet?
The upload time will vary depending on your internet connection speed, the size of your files, and heavy order volume by other customers. Uploading can take anywhere from a few minutes up to several hours.

What if my internet connection is very slow?
If your internet connection is too slow and your upload will not complete online, you can burn your files to a CD/DVD and send via mail. Contact customer care for further details.

What do I do if my upload gets interrupted?
Always make sure that sleep mode is disabled in your computer settings before starting an upload. If for any reason your upload is interrupted, you will have to start the upload process again.

Is the AsukaBook website and order system compatible with tablets?
You may be able to view the website from a tablet, but placing an order is not possible at this time.

Can I order an AsukaBook by sending single digital images or film to you?
We only accept designed JPEG files or PDF files generated with AsukaBook Maker.

How many books can I order at one time?
You can order any number of prints at one time. To request a price quote for an order of more than 100 prints, contact customer care.

Can I order an unlimited amount of files per order?
No, you can only upload a maximum of five files per order, but you may select an unlimited quantity of books per file.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept VISA, MasterCard and American Express. Payment must be processed before an order is uploaded and completed.

How long does an order take to process before it is in production?
Orders are usually reviewed and processed within one business day. If concerns are found during review of your order, you will be contacted at that time.

Does AsukaBook review my files?
When placing your order, you will agree that you have reviewed your file(s) and they are ready for print, and by doing so, you take full responsibility for the layout and content. However, to help ensure you get the best possible product, we review all AsukaBook orders within two business days for noticeable layout concerns, but we do not check for spelling errors, design, image quality, or colour choices. If any layout concerns are found, an AsukaBook representative will contact you with the option to resubmit a revised file, print "as is," or cancel and place a new order.

Can I make changes after placing orders?
You must contact customer care within 24 hours of placing your order for a possible changes or cancellation. However, if the file has already been sent to production, we might not be able to cancel it.

Can I cancel my order at any time?
No. Once your order has been processed and sent to production (orders are usually reviewed and processed within one business), it probably cannot be canceled.

Can I order an extra book jacket, case, or presentation box for my book?
Yes. Contact customer care for additional information.

Can you provide a discount on additional copies of previously submitted files?
Yes. You may order reprints at a discounted price within 90 days of the original order date. Log into your AsukaBook account and go to your Order History page, locate the original order, and click on the 'Order Reprint' link.

Why can't I apply a studio sample discount to a reprint order?
You are unable to apply a studio sample discount for a reprint order because reprint orders are already offered at a reduced price.  If you would like a studio sample of an already printed book, you must upload the file as a new order and be sure to apply the promotional discount.

Why can't I place an order for a new book combined with a reprint?
Reprint orders are sent immediately to production as they were reviewed and processed when the original order was placed. Orders for new books must still be reviewed and processed. New book orders and reprint orders cannot be shipped together, as the turnaround for a reprint order is considerably quicker. The AsukaBook shipping facility does not have the storage capacity to hold numerous book orders that are awaiting other orders so that they may be shipped together. A fundamental goal of AsukaBook is to deliver products to customers as soon as possible.
